Charlottesville’s diverse business leaders will gather downtown for a networking reception, followed by a gala dinner and presentation of the annual Chuck Lewis Passion Award.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Chuck Lewis Passion Award will go to our dear friend and longtime FABA community member Chef Tony Polanco of Chef Tony Catering!

Chef Tony’s popular omelette stand at the Charlottesville City Market has helped his catering business grow by leaps and bounds, as customers experience his signature blend of delicious multicultural flavors and high quality service.

But only ten years ago, Chef Tony was learning a hard lesson as the owner of a failing restaurant. “I had that business without any plan,” he says. “It was a good teaching experience of what not to do.” Read Tony’s story here…

Renowned local businessman Chuck Lewis III perceived adversity as a challenge to find solutions and always treated people and their ideas with dignity and respect.

The Chuck Lewis Passion Award is bestowed in his honor, to pass on his legacy by celebrating entrepreneurs who overcome obstacles and achieve success.

A vibrant 19 year old, Lily grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia – tucked away in the beautiful crevices of the Blue Ridge mountains – and surrounded by free flowing, yet powerful artistry.

The historic Paramount Theater is located on the Downtown Mall at 215 East Main Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Street parking is available nearby, in addition to garage parking on Market St. and Water St.
