Michelle BradenKeynote: A recent Gallup study revealed, “Most leaders and policymakers don’t have a clue about what makes entrepreneurs successful.” During this powerful celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit, we will uncover the passion and drive behind entrepreneurship, discuss the importance of a strong support group, uncover some of the myths of entrepreneurship and the demands of creating a successful business. So what does it take to acquire the fruits of VICTORY in today’s fast-paced world? Join us as Michelle Braden, CEO of MSBCoach, weaves these lessons into her presentation of her own personal journey of entrepreneurship.


Lopez & Ornelas familiesThe 1st Annual Chuck Lewis III Passion Award: will be given to the Lopez and Ornelas families for their significant entrepreneurial accomplishments in Charlottesville. For the past 25 years they have demonstrated consistent business skills while providing economic prosperity to the community with service and involvement at the local level. Both the Lopez and Ornelas families opened the first authentic Mexican restaurant (GUADALAJARA) on E. Market St in C’ville. Their business philosophy is founded on a sound work ethic, family values, and supreme customer service.

Today, the Guadalajara Restaurant business has expanded to a total of five in the Greater C’ville area with several Real Estate ventures in surrounding cities including Richmond. Their perseverance, passion and commitment to their dream has helped create employment opportunities for the people of Charlottesville, not to mention delicious flavors to many happy palates!

Chuck Lewis IIIChuck Lewis III: The 1st Annual Chuck Lewis III Passion Award, an accolade that is named after a man who himself devoted his life to the pursuit of turning a dream into a reality. Along the way, he created businesses that to this day provide economic prosperity and employment opportunities to the people of Charlottesville and beyond. Chuck Lewis was an individual who perceived adversity as a challenge to find solutions and always treated people and their ideas with dignity and respect. The award is bestowed in his honor to pass on his legacy.

Cultural Spotlight: Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a thrilling flamenco music & dance performance by Toma Que Toma. Peter Richardson (guitar), Kristen Eberly (dancer), Anita Barahona Oliver (special guest vocalist).
